Terms of Service
Last updated October 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between the business you represent (“you”) and TradesBase, operated by Rafael Soares Reis Costa (“TradesBase,” “we,” “us”). You accept them by checking the box and creating an account, by subscribing, or by using the service. If you accept on behalf of a business, you confirm that you're at least 18 and authorized to bind that business. If you don't agree, don't use TradesBase. Version 2026-10-16.
Please read sections 6 to 9 (your responsibilities), 14 to 16 (disclaimers, limits on our liability and your indemnity) and 17 (individual arbitration and class-action waiver) carefully: they affect your legal rights.
1. The service
TradesBase is a set of tools for home-service businesses. Depending on your plan and settings, it:
- builds and hosts a website for your business from the information you provide, at an address on our domain;
- gives you a TradesBase phone line that rings the cell phone you choose and records whether each call was answered or missed;
- sends a text from your line to callers you missed, once text messaging for your business is approved by U.S. carriers;
- collects missed calls, texts and website requests in an inbox where you can reply by text;
- sends review requests by text or email to customers you choose, with a link to your review page;
- on the Pro plan, answers calls with an artificial-intelligence receptionist that takes messages and texts your booking link.
2. Business use only
TradesBase is offered only to businesses for business purposes. It is not a consumer service. You're responsible for your owners, employees and anyone who uses your account.
3. Your account and team logins
- Keep your login details secure and tell us right away at hello@usetradesbase.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
- Give each team member their own login (up to 10) instead of sharing yours, and remove people who no longer work with you. You're responsible for everything done under your account.
4. Plans, fees and billing
- Starter costs $97 per month. Pro costs $147 per month and includes 150 AI receptionist minutes a month. There is no setup fee and no minimum term.
- On Pro you can buy prepaid extra minutes (100 minutes for $19 or 250 minutes for $49). They're used only after your included minutes, don't expire while you're subscribed, and end when your account ends. Unused extra minutes can be refunded within the 7-day guarantee of that purchase; used minutes are not refunded. When included and extra minutes run out, the AI keeps answering for 30 courtesy minutes that month and then pauses until the next month or until you add minutes. We email you when you reach 80% and 100% of your minutes, and we never charge for minutes you didn't buy.
- Payments are processed by Hotmart, our authorized reseller, which charges your card monthly in advance until you cancel, under its own purchase terms. Taxes, if any, are calculated at checkout and are your responsibility.
- If a monthly payment fails, Hotmart retries your card and we email you. Your line and website keep working for 7 days after the failed payment; after that, they pause until the payment goes through.
- We'll email you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect for your plan.
5. Cancellation, refunds and the end of your account
You can cancel anytime online from your Hotmart purchases, with no fee, and we email you a confirmation. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for, and the service keeps working until then. If you cancel within 7 days of your first payment, you can request a full refund. We don't give partial-month refunds after that.
When your account ends, your website goes offline and your TradesBase line stops working; the phone number belongs to our provider and isn't transferred to you. If you forward calls from another phone to your TradesBase line, remove that forwarding. Your inbox, call history and website content stay available for 90 days after your account ends and are then deleted.
6. Your website and the information you provide
- Your website is built from what you enter in your setup: your business name, trade, services, cities, hours, phone, the description and any statements you choose to show, such as being licensed, insured, offering emergency service or the year you started. You confirm that everything you enter is true, that you hold every license and insurance your website says you hold, and that you're allowed to work in the places you list. Keep it accurate and up to date.
- You give us permission to publish that information on your website and to show it in search results through structured data. You're responsible for it; we may edit or remove content that is false, unlawful, misleading or infringes anyone's rights.
- Your website lives at an address on our domain while you're subscribed. We don't guarantee any ranking, traffic, calls or leads from it, on Google or anywhere else.
7. Calls and text messages
- You'll only text people who contacted your business or gave you their number for their job, and only about that job, including the automatic text to callers you missed, your replies and review requests. You won't use TradesBase to send marketing or unsolicited texts or calls.
- Before any text is sent, U.S. carriers require your business to be registered for text messaging (A2P 10DLC). We file the registration for you with the information you provide, which must be true and complete. Approval is up to the carriers, can take weeks and can be refused; until it's approved, no texts are sent.
- Every text includes your business name and opt-out instructions. People who reply STOP don't get texts from your line again unless they reply START. You won't ask us to remove opt-out instructions or to text anyone who opted out.
- You're responsible for complying with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, state calling and texting laws and carrier rules for your business, and for any additional consent your business needs. You're responsible for the cell phone your line rings, your carrier's forwarding settings and any charges your carrier bills you.
- On the Pro plan, the AI receptionist tells every caller at the start of the call that it's your business's virtual assistant and that the call is recorded. You won't ask us to remove those notices. You're responsible for complying with call-recording, consent and artificial-voice laws that apply to your calls.
8. Reviews
- You'll ask for reviews only from real customers of your business and send everyone the same request. You won't offer anything in exchange for a review, ask only customers you expect to be happy, write or buy reviews, or ask employees, relatives or anyone else to post reviews that hide their connection to you.
- You're responsible for following the Federal Trade Commission's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465), state law and the policies of Google and any other review site. TradesBase doesn't post reviews and doesn't control what customers write.
9. Your other responsibilities
- You're responsible for following up with your customers. TradesBase shows you missed calls and messages; it doesn't guarantee that anyone at your business will act on them.
- You won't enter payment card numbers, health information or government ID numbers anywhere in TradesBase.
- TradesBase is not an emergency service and gives no technical, safety, legal or financial advice. Your website and your messages come from your business, and the work you do is yours.
10. Acceptable use
You won't use TradesBase to:
- break any law or anyone's rights, or help anyone else do so;
- deceive customers, impersonate another business or person, or make false claims about your licenses, insurance, experience or reviews;
- contact people who haven't contacted your business, or send spam, robocalls or harassing messages;
- overload, probe, copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its limits or security.
11. Customer information and privacy
You control the information about your customers. We act as your service provider: we process phone numbers, messages, website requests, review requests and, on Pro, call recordings and transcripts, only to provide, secure and support the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell this information, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models. If a customer asks you, or us, to access or delete their information, you'll handle the request with our help. When you accept these Terms we record the date, the version, your IP address and your browser as proof of acceptance.
12. Third-party services
TradesBase relies on telephone carriers, a telephone and text-messaging provider, a hosting provider, an email provider, Hotmart (payments) and, on Pro, a voice AI platform and the AI providers it uses. We're not responsible for their acts, outages or policies, and their terms may apply to how they process information. Links to Google and other sites are provided as a convenience; we don't control them.
13. Availability, changes and suspension
We work to keep TradesBase running all the time but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service; calls, texts and emails can fail or be delayed. We may improve, change or stop features, and we'll tell you in advance about changes that materially reduce the service. We may suspend your account, website or line immediately if payment fails beyond the grace period, if you break these Terms, or if your use creates legal, security or abuse risk for customers, carriers, our providers or us; we'll tell you why when we can.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't guarantee any number of calls, leads, reviews, jobs, rankings or revenue.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) neither TradesBase nor its operator, providers or licensors will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, customers, goodwill or data, missed or mishandled calls or messages, or business interruption, even if told they were possible; and (b) our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. These limits apply to every theory of liability and are an essential part of our prices.
16. Your indemnity
You'll defend, indemnify and hold harmless TradesBase, its operator, employees and providers from any claims, fines, damages, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: your use of the service; the information you provide, including what your website says about your business; your calls, texts, review requests and customers, including claims about consent, texting, recording, automated voices, reviews or privacy; your team; or your breach of these Terms or of any law.
17. Disputes: individual arbitration and class-action waiver
- Before filing any claim, contact us at hello@usetradesbase.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.
- Any dispute that isn't resolved will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, by one arbitrator, by video or on written submissions where possible. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may ask a court to stop misuse of its intellectual property.
- You and we each waive the right to a jury trial and to bring or join any class, collective or representative action. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court, not to class arbitration.
- These Terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arose.
18. Our property and your feedback
TradesBase, its software, website templates, texts, design and brand belong to us or our licensors; you get a limited, non-transferable right to use the service while you're subscribed. Your business information stays yours. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For changes that matter, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect, unless a change is required by law sooner. The version date is at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you don't, cancel before then.
20. General
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about TradesBase. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. You may not transfer your account without our written consent; we may transfer these Terms in a merger, acquisition or sale of the service. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. We're independent contractors. You agree to receive notices and communications electronically at your account email. The English version controls. Sections 4 to 12 and 14 to 20 survive the end of your account.
